East Coast Scholars works with families across Nassau County from our office at 111 Conklin Street in Farmingdale. Every service we offer is available in person at that office, live online over Zoom, or in the hybrid rhythm most families eventually settle into.

If your town is not listed, it does not mean we do not serve it. Our in-person radius covers most of central and northern Nassau, and our virtual services have no radius at all.

Tutoring, Test Prep, and College Counseling by Town
Each town below has its own set of pages. The content is written around that specific district: its high school, its course sequences, its testing culture, and the particular pressures its families describe when they call us.
Farmingdale
Home base. Farmingdale High School, Weldon E. Howitt, and the surrounding South Farmingdale and Bethpage communities. Walk-in distance to our office.
Manhasset
Manhasset Secondary School and the Plandome, Munsey Park, and Flower Hill communities. A small district with an unusually high concentration of selective-college applicants.
Great Neck
Great Neck North and Great Neck South, plus Kings Point, Saddle Rock, and Lake Success. One of the most internationally connected applicant pools in the county.
Jericho
Jericho High School, Jericho Middle School, and the Birchwood and Muttontown communities. Small, tightly clustered, and relentlessly high achieving.
Syosset
Syosset Senior High School, plus Woodbury, Plainview, and Oyster Bay Cove. A very large school where individual attention is the scarcest resource.
Garden City
Garden City High School and Garden City Middle School, plus the Mineola, Stewart Manor, and Floral Park corridor. Strong pipeline into business and pre-professional programs.
One Office. Three Ways to Work With Us.
In-person sessions run out of our Farmingdale office, which sits close to the Route 110 and Southern State corridor and is a manageable drive from most of central Nassau. It is a quiet, purpose-built space, not a corner of a coffee shop.
Virtual sessions run live over Zoom with the same instructors and the same materials. Families outside our drive radius, and families whose weeknights are already spoken for, use this almost exclusively.
Hybrid is what most families land on. Early sessions in person to build the relationship, then virtual once the rhythm is set and the calendar tightens. You can switch formats at any point without changing your rate or your existing arrangement.

No. We hold in-person sessions at our Farmingdale office rather than traveling to homes or schools. That is a deliberate choice. A dedicated space with no siblings, no pets, and no kitchen traffic produces measurably better sessions, and it lets us keep rates consistent instead of building travel time into every hour.
If the drive is the obstacle, virtual sessions solve it entirely. They run live over Zoom with the same instructor you would have in person.
Yes. The towns with dedicated pages are simply the ones where we have the deepest concentration of families and the most specific knowledge of the local high schools, and we are adding to that list as those communities grow. We already work with students well beyond the districts listed above, throughout Nassau County and into western Suffolk.

No. Rates are set by service and format, not by town. In-person sessions carry a different rate than virtual sessions because of the space and scheduling involved, but a family in Great Neck and a family in Farmingdale pay exactly the same for the same service. We will walk you through the specifics at your free consultation.
Our instructors and advisors work with students from these districts continuously, which means we see the actual course sequences, the pacing, the teachers whose exams are hardest, and the way each school's profile gets read by admissions offices. That knowledge is not theoretical and it is not scraped from a rankings site.
