Applying Early Decision or Early Action? October 3 is the last SAT whose scores reliably arrive before a November 1 deadline.

ACT registration closes roughly five weeks before test day, more than twice as early as the SAT. Late registration is available for an additional fee, and deadlines expire at 11:59 p.m. CT. Most scores post within two to four weeks.
