Getting Started

Booking your first session in six steps

Complete each step in order to set up your account and book your first session.

  1. 1

    Go to the portal

Visit app.eastcoastscholars.com and click Sign up / Log in to create your account with your email and a password. You can also reach the portal anytime by clicking Log In on our website.

  2. 2

    Choose your role

On the welcome screen, click I'm a Parent. If your email is already on file, you're linked automatically and sent to My Sessions; skip to step 4. If not, complete a short profile (first name, last name, phone), then click Continue.

  3. 3

    Review & accept policies

On first entry, you'll see the ECS Scheduling & Payment Policies: 24-hour advance booking, payment due at booking, 24-hour cancellation, meeting links in My Sessions. Check the box to agree and click Continue.

  4. 4

    Add your student(s)

Enter each child's first name, last name, grade, and school. Click Add another student if you have more than one, then click Complete Setup.

  5. 5

    Book a session

Go to Book a Session, pick a service (subject tutoring, SAT/ACT prep, etc.), select a tutor and time, and pay securely by card through Stripe. Larger prepaid packages are billed separately via Zelle.

  6. 6

    View & manage

Use My Sessions to see upcoming sessions, join virtual meeting links, and request changes; use Billing to review payments and packages.

✓

You're all set when: your account is verified, your student(s) are added, and your first session is booked and paid for.

Troubleshooting

Can't sign in? Here's how to fix it.

If you're seeing "incorrect password" or you never received a password email, follow these steps in order.

  1. 1

Did you sign up with Google?

If you used the Continue with Google button when you first created your account, you don't have a password; Google handles your sign-in. Go back to the login screen and click Continue with Google again. Do not use Forgot password, since it won't work for Google accounts.

  2. 2

Check your spam or junk folder

We never email you a password. We email a link to set or reset your password, sent from app@base44.com. This message often lands in spam, junk, or a Promotions tab, especially on AOL, Gmail, school (.edu), and work accounts. Search those folders for app@base44.com.

  3. 3

Add us to your safe senders

To make sure future emails arrive in your inbox, add app@base44.com to your contacts or safe-senders list.

  4. 4

Use the exact email you registered with

On the forgot-password page, type your email in lowercase, exactly as you signed up. Capitalization and extra spaces cause the reset email to fail silently. If you're unsure which email you used, ask us and we'll look it up.

  5. 5

    Click Resend

After requesting a reset, wait 2 to 3 minutes, then use the Resend link on the forgot-password page if the first email didn't arrive.

  6. 6

Still stuck? Let us reset you

If you've done all of the above and still can't sign in, contact us. We can remove your account and send a fresh invite to the same email; you'll get a new set-your-password link and be back in within minutes.
